Welcome to the USS Cassiopeia!

The U.S.S. Cassiopeia is one of a long line of Galaxy class starships to grace the Obsidian Fleet, she has elegance in her style, a proud sense of history within her bulkheads and fine crew that make up her hallways. She has seen a lot since her commission many years ago, both good and bad. Her vast experience has left scars not just in her hull but in her heart. Despite all of this, Cassie still has the grace and core of a new built vessel; wanting to seek out new adventures and learn about new civilisations.

Therein lies her mission.

As the Federation recovers from past scars, in 2394 Cassie is heading out beyond Cardassian space. As part of Task Force 72B under Commodore Harrington, she's to seek out those new civilisations, and make those new discoveries. To find new allies from whom to invest in new knowledge. To mix with the multiple species that fill our galaxy. What else can a true explorer want if not to be challenged and inspired by what they could see?

Her new Captain has a wealth of experience both life and Starfleet; boasting the title of being one of Starfleet’s oldest serving Commanding Officers. Combining his thirst for knowledge, his desire to meet new species and explore new worlds; he hopes in inspire his crew to be the same.

“We can't be afraid of change. You may feel very secure in the pond that you are in, but if you never venture out of it, you will never know that there is such a thing as an ocean, a sea. Holding onto something that is good for you now, may be the very reason why you don't have something better.”
― C. JoyBell C.

Will you be part be of the crew that locates the next ground-breaking discovery? Will you choose to interact with that unbelievable species that no-one ever knew about? Will you find the newest resource that could improve the life of the less fortunate?

I welcome you to be the explorers that Starfleet need us to be.

Better late than never at posting this on here...

The USS Cassiopeia, despite being brand new off the block, was awarded the March Gold Unit of Merit Award for TF72. This award really goes to the great group of writers that have joined me and my XO over the past 4-5 weeks and I cannot credit you enough for the effort you have all put in thus far. For us to get this award as a brand new simulation is nothing short of fantastic and that is a reflection on how everyone has quickly came together in our wee group.

I believe we can go from strength to strength as we all get to know each other better, and our characters, and don't see why we can't go for another Gold in the future.

I once heard this quote and it is something I have never forgotten, “Most people fail in life not because they aim too high and miss, but because they aim too low and hit.” ― Les Brown

Below is the nomination by Commodore Harrington:

“Commanders T’San and Agrax have put together a great simm and I am very impressed with the way they took off and got their game going. They have great numbers for such a young game; but more impressive is the community that they have created outside the game as well. Their players are social, engaging, and generally a blast to be around. Great job to the Command and players of the Cassie.” ~Commodore Harrington

Let's make it an April to remember!
